What am I doing here?
Basically this is a work in progress. One day I came home late, saw a music video on late night TV, didn't know who it was. In those days the net was young and new and it took me a bit of time to track down the band from lyric that stuck in my mind...."I've got this time on my hands"... If you're still with me you'll know they were words from 'Touch, Peel and Stand' from 'Days of the New'. Maniacally I tried to find the album in the stores over here, but eventually got one shipped from the States. Once I got it....I listened to it.....took the little leaflet to the beach to read the lyrics and knew I wanted to make music. No bright flash of light, no sudden realisation, I just knew. Perhaps one days I might be able to write a song about it? Unfortunately I had no skills, no sense of rythm, no idea basically. Hence we're here to day. On this page I'll put my works in progress, plus completed songs, poems arty farty stuff etc that I feel is ready for the world.

18/12/01 - A couple of weeks ago I too the poetry from the DOTN board and slapped them into a PDF file you can get here DOTN Poetry Archive PDF. Copyright owners are the individual contributers don't ask me, I have already emailed everyone who posted if they wanted to be excluded, have details changed etc but only got one answer, so I hope this is OK. Contact me if you want your poems or contact details removed. If you have a DOTN page, feel free to mirror the file, as long as you put a link to the DOTN Poetry page with it as well. Also began fiddling with this front page. The old page is here Old front page if you are interested. Expect some more changes soon, today is really just to add the DOTN Poetry archive file link. Just a reminder I'm trying to preserve the old pages as much as possible. Please feel free to wonder about, twist about and generally get lost in these pages, and past pages.

06/09/01 - Poetry board changed to here the board hosts are always shutting down, mustn't be profitable. I hope it's a trend that eventually stabilises, any be prepared for another move. Also added some more poems and have decided that the words to 'Corridoor without Doors' just don't fit the music. I'm moving it to the poetry section for now till I know what to do with it. Basically I tried writing the words first and the music to fit, but itjust didn't happen, very painful. Good news though, I've finalised the music to 'The song previously known as 'Corridoor without Doors', and written another composition, which I hope to record and put up....keep looking or subscribe to that thing that is supposed to tell you when the page has changed....I cannot get it to work, maybe you can, drop a line if you do!

27/03/01 - TRIPOD DRAMA OVER, I've got a little egg on my face, but that's really just some splatter from the barnyard of egg on Tripods face. Finally I got some impersonally mass produced form generated, no doubt vetted by legions of lawyers, email response. Basically Tripod was zapping a whole bunch of web sites in a terms of service purge and my page at http://newmuse.tripod.com was sucked into the vortex. Sorry for jumping the gun on the censorship thinking, I was wrong there. If only they sent out an email saying there were problems as soon as it occured, rather than waiting till everything was approved...ie when it was too late. Some suggestions Tripod, just be a little more personal in dealing with people...it's quite handy at times. Also telling people directly, before it hits the news services (I read it first on msnbc) helps build a relationship. Well after establishing this site (http://burnfull.tripod.com) I'm zipping the old site, and putting a link from there to here. Basically I reckon newmuse is a bit of a pretentious name, and burnfull is more what I wanted anyway (well fullburn would have been better...but what the hell). From now on this page will be updated and the old page left as a bit of history. Now I can get back to writing...yippieeeeeee!
20/03/01 - SITE CHANGE:: MAYBE NOT REALLY CENSORED BUT STILL A MYSTERY!! Just went to try to log into newmuse again, and now instead of a curt little message saying that I abused the terms of services and I should naff off, they say that they apologise that they accidentally deleted some sites over the weekend and are in the process of restoring them....still no reply to emails to abuse@tripod.com and no notification to me directly...who knows what's happening here. What a drama....all they needed to do was send a automatic email saying that there were problems. If they return an email, or restore the site I'll put an apology for the assumptions on censorship below.
15/03/01 - SITE MOVED AND CENSORED!! Tripod mysteriously cancelled my account at burnfull.tripod.com, I sent email asking why, no response. Presumably a robot (and I mean here an actual person) at tripod decided any MP3 files are evil or a single word in one of the lyrics in one of the songs was offensive. Possibly telling others about the site on the DOTN message board might be regarded as SPAM.....who knows, they're not telling. Afterall, why should they. I am mindful that tripod is a free service, however their heavy handed approach is unnecessary, try contacting the 'problem' site owner and starting a dialog next time guys. Thus I've got the same site and uploaded here to burnfull.tripod.com. I'll let you find the naughty word as an incentive to explore the site. The site has been changed a bit, but in keeping with my philosophy of retaining the original pages, the 'offensive' page has been zipped and passworded, you'll have to contact me to get the password, after proving that you are mature enough to handle the really bad three letters that will warp your mind if you see them. Odds are it'll be cancelled soon again, so bookmark the DOTN message board at http://www.dotnmessageboard.cjb.net/, and look for notices. Alternatively send me a email and I'll notify you directly if/when it changes again. Any suggestions of places where a web page of original music can be put, expanded, have naughty words and be advertised on a community message board will be welcomed muchly. Ooops, by the way, much of the above text is being sarcastic. Added explanation of 'burn', and replaces newmuse with burnfull everywhere.

08/01/01 - Removed a bit where it said there was no music for Corridoor Without Doors, because there is some now. Added the intermission, and jigged with the graphics a bit, switching back the reversed 'r' because I thought it looked a bit pretentious.
